XAVC-L HD on my FS7 is 10-bit for all the bitrates. I would imagine it would be the same on the X70 since it's using XAVC-L.

Orig Sony batteries will work perfectly. You need the new 3rd party batteries with the new chips now. Old 3rd party batts won't work. Didn't work on my FS7.

Why is it HD-SDI is not good enough though? It's 10-bit in all modes and most all recorders can accept that output. The Gh4 is the only camera I know of with 10-bit HDMI.

I understand what you need and your next best bet will be CES 2016 or NAB 2016. The fixed lens eng cams are due for replacement. AX1/Z100 Canon XF300. Hopefully they go 1" route. The FS7 is no where...

Hey Michael! For what I want to use this camera for no. Next year I do expect to shoot quite a few 4K jobs but for smaller jobs, yearly camping trip I do, and some corporate stuff this cam in HD...

I used my ax100 yesterday on a Corp shoot. Shot avchd and just reviewed the footage. All 12db and under stuff was fantastic and this camera would've made the job so much easier. Would've preferred...

4790K here and 32GB ram. XAVC-L 1080 does hang up once in a while while editing. 4K XAVC-L I need to create proxies to even edit it :(

Interesting. It worked for me formatting to exfat. I received the tip from a user on this forum who did the same thing. Only SDXC then for your camera. Good luck

SDXC come formatted as exfat. Sdhc are fat32. You can use Sdhc if you format it in your computer to exfat and record 4k on it.
