Re: UWOL 51 - Tales of wonders and woes

I'm out, heading for the shark tank - got some footage but I've just been asked to direct a short film so that's going to take up all my spare time for the next month at least.

Re: UWOL 51 - Tales of wonders and woes

Re: UWOL 51 Theme release

Re: UWOL 50 -- What did you shoot with?

I shot in 1080 because I wanted the 50p for slow motion - for streaming I don't bother with 4k (I may film in it but I work & render in 1080

Re: UWOL 50 -- What did you shoot with?

Re: UWOL 50 -- What did you shoot with?

I shot on a lumix gx85 with a canon FD 50mm lens and a speedbooster adaptor - edited in Edius 9 - no CC or stabilisation in post (I think I slowed a couple of clips down.

Re: UWOL 50 - "The Jungle Calls to Me In Colors" by Philip Murray

I loved seeing the city, it was a great introduction and reminds us how far apart we are. Your transition to the jungle was terrific, both visually and with the change in the music - wonderful.

Re: UWOL#50 "The Sound of Color" by Geir Inge B. Brekke

nicely tied together - started & ended with you and you were thinking about the birds. I think your accent is made for nature videos!

There was an echo in the initial VO, I'm not sure if that was...

Re: Why Does Nature Speak in Color?

actually, that's pretty bloody good - "just because she could"

The basic question led us through the whole film and .. I forgot to take notes! I was engaged and wondering about the question, where...

Re: The Colour Pallet of Life and its Importance

I love the way you tied in the puzzle, and the great narration tied it all together really well - loved the bee!

with the fast motion of the puzzle at the end I've seen a filter or effect (can't...

Re: UWOL#50 - The Colours of Nature by Paul Wood

I have to agree with the choice of music - really suited the images - I wondered about the focus being soft in a couple of places but It's the compression on vimeo. really relaxing and I enjoyed...

Re: UWOL50 - Snow The Colour of Cold by Gordon Hoffman

I really liked the music - introspective - it's so weird to be sweating here and watching snow at the same time. I thought your piece was informative and used the topic well - and now I know why it's...

At least I completed one this time - it was very much a last minute thing and the only thing I'm happy about was that it's here. The footage was mostly from Mt Penang Gardens about 40 minutes away...

mercalli 4 not as good as ver 2?

I've been using ver 4 for a while now and while it certainly does the job I've found a couple of instances (micro shudders from touching the camera) where ver 2 is much better.

Ver 4 also seems to...
