Re: UWOL 63 - Tales of wonder & woe

quickly running out of time, it's been rain & floods here - not much of a postcard but the weather cleared enough to take the drone out, hike a couple of k's through the bush to a nice headland, test...

I've used COB lights on a couple of night shoots Aputure 120 & Forza 300) and I'm always concerned that moths are going to hit the COB and bugger up the light - Has anyone had any experience of this?

Re: UWOL 63 - Tales of wonder & woe

my hand held footage is sketchy at the best of times let alone in a high wind - we have 20kph winds & 4 metre swell ATM so I'm not going anywhere near the cliffs.

Re: UWOL 63 - Tales of wonder & woe

The 1st thing that comes to mind for me is the cliffs & the sea near home but I'm going to ponder for a while longer to see if I can come up with something out of left field.

UWOL 63 - Tales of wonder & woe

Thought I'd start this early and see if we can encourage more entrants to get over the finish line so to speak.

I usually found my problem to be time slipping away, the theme is released, I come...

Re: UWOL 63 - Sign up here

used to happen to me EVERY bloody time! - now that I'm semi-retired I hope to be able to submit more often.

I wonder if it's worth considering a 'buddy system' where the convenor organises the...

Re: UWOL 62 - Stevens Creek - Paul Mailath

thx guys,

Geir - I did use the drone for all shots except the last one and you make a good point about cutaways of the crow making sounds - I should have grabbed some of those.

Re: UWOL#62 "Something's missing" by Geir Inge B. Brekke

I really like the crescendo of the music and 'Norway' as it completes. some great images and it's interesting how we've taken what I would say was a difficult theme and interpreted it in completely...

Re: Uwol#62 Springtime by Bob Safay

I like it, some great images and I had no idea where it was headed - you've put some effort into this and it really shows. The only thing I noticed is a mistake I usually make - the VO is in mono and...

UWOL 62 - Stevens Creek - Paul Mailath

This was a last-minute idea while on a trip to Broken Hill. I was going to add music but the silence and the sounds of the crows says a lot to me about the bush.

UWOL 62 - Stevens Creek - Paul...

Re: UWOL 61 - Tales of wonders and woes

It's really strange for me to hear you call anything in your country 'bush' - for me it conjures up images of heat and dry riverbeds, gum trees & the sound of the crow. I guess every country has it's...
