Does Cinescore require Vegas 7?
I have Vegas+DVD 6 and I was wondering whether Cinescore requires Vegas 7 to be installed? Another thread mentioned someone wanting to use Cinescore with PP2.

Cinescore works with any PC-based system. the files it outputs are compatible with any NLE, and it will allow for video from any PC-based NLE on its timeline.

If you want to use it as a plugin directly on the Vegas timeline, it does require Vegas 7 (or, presumably, newer). But it works well with Vegas 6 and other NLE's too - just not as a plugin on the timeline.

Does Cinescore have the ability to make a 5.1 surround score. With SonicFire Pro I can do this. Just from the Sony brouchure, I didn't see where you could seperate different instrument groups (percussion, rythm, base, etc.), for output to diffenrent audio tracks in Vegas. Can you do this with Cinescore?
I purchased SonicFire shortly before cinescore came out. Obviously since I use Vegas, the Cinescore probably would be more fully integrated, but I can't justify buying it in addition to Sonic Fire unless there is some really big advantage to it. Recently I read a blurb about Cinescore and SonicFire sharing technologues, or something like that. does any one know if the two will be merged or integrated? Thanks - PK |
