HD rendering in Quicktime formats?

Hello,

I have been rendering my HDV clips into the WMV (windows media) to view them in HD on my computer. I would like to view these same clips in HD with my Quicktime player. However, I don't see any of the quicktime formats (.mov or .mp4) available in HD. Am I wrong? If it is possible to render Quicktime files in HD, please tell me how to do this (step by step). Any info that you can provide is greatly appreciated.
