Does anybody know of any place to find any good FREE tutorials. I tried youtube and I have already seen them all. If not free what other choices do I have. Have anybody purchase any tutorials for vegas 7.

Hi Veronica,
I would recommend www.vasst.com
Douglas Spotted Eagle (a member of this site) has done some incredible training videos for both Vegas and DVD Architect. He also has posted some tutorials on other websites too.
Here is a Vegas resource page from VASST:
http://www.vasst2.com/sony/default.aspx

Enjoy!

Andrew

Veronica, if you search YouTube for VASST, you'll find a few training vids there, plus what we've got for free and for pay on the VASST Site.
JETDV.com also has some free content.

I have heard that vasst was very good, but very expensive too. Has anybody tried Class On Demand Complete Training for Sony Vegas 7 Training DVD or sony vegas7 from one less book. If so how do they compare to vasst

VASST Absolute Training Volumes 1/2/3 are less expensive than COD, plus the additional volumes are quite a lot less expensive.
Don't forget you also get a DVinfo.net discount.

Veronica, the VASST Absolute training volumes are excellent. I struggled with several books and spent hours scouring the web looking for free tutorials until I got these DVDs and watching Spot show me how to do it made it so much easier to grasp. I didn't know about the DVinfo discount, so I didn't get that, but they are worth every penny.

I've been using for several and wanted to increase my skill.
I purchased the Vasst series and really like it and recommend it.

I do think the audio segment could have been stronger. At each tutorial instance the presenter shows you several ways that don't work and then finally, the best way to do it. The whole dvd could have been much, much shorter if they just focused on what works.

But the quality is quite good and there is a lot of information.

I just purchased mine during the NAB special and it looks like it only covers up to version 6, but I think I can figure out the differences with 6 and 7.

I've looked at other tutuorials and have several books, and I do think it's the best solution out there.

If you visit the Sponsors forum, you'll find the discount code there.
The series is for all versions of Vegas past version 4.

Am I in the wrong forum or am I missing something? How much is the DVI discount?

He meant the sponsors forum, not the link to a list of the dvinfo sponsors. To get to the sponsors forum, go to the very top forum (The Digital Video Information Network) and then scroll down to "Great deals from dvinfo.net sponsors".

Quote:
To receive the DVInfo.net discount on VASST products, simply type dvinfo into the Discount box on the VASST site.
Cheers.
