Vegas credit roll question
I'm fairly new to Vegas, and have posted a few questions here with some great answers and was hoping once again to get another great answer. My question involves the rolling credits (or any credits really). I want to do a simple credit roll during the video. I am assuming that it should go like this:
1. video and audio on track 1&2 respectively 2. add credit roll to track 3 where needed (during the video) Is this correct? My problem is that I do not see the credits when the timeline crosses them. The only way for me to see them is by lowering the video track opacity, but that isn't what I want to do. I have used the transparent credits (i am assuming they are transparent as they have the "checkerboard" background. I have looked for ways to do this with no avail. Can anyone help me out? Thanks in advance, Jason |

I just tried a different way of doing this and it worked, although I'm not sure if it is the right way. I put the credit rool on track 1, and video and audio on track 2&3 respectively and it works. Is there a different/better way of doing this?

You are doing the right thing because the software looks top to bottom when showing effects. So, typically, your compositing stuff goes on the top track.

And even better where needed change the overlay method to screen to remove the black background so your footage shows under your credits.
