Flash exe's into Vegas
I was given a file at work and asked if I could make a "loopable" dvd for an unattended presentation.
The file is a flash .exe self player. I've used .swf's in Vegas before with no problem, but how do I get the content out of the exe file. I have Swish Max but the import of the file is less than great. Some of it comes in, some of doesn't. The images seem cropped etc... Anyone know a way around this? |

Not an ideal suggestion but you could try a screengrabber like Camtasia Studio and play the Flash exe while recording the screen. Camtasia is great for this kind of thing.

yeah, I was thinking about that route, but the flash was too long and I knew I'd end up with an enourmous file.
I did more research and learned that vegas just really only supports swfs for titling etc. We worked around the problem with a vbscript a coworker wrote to launch the exe and then count down the run time, close it and launch it again. Not elegant but it works... Thanks for the input though. |
