Music aquisition help
Hello all, long time no see.
I have a client that wants to use the theme music from Mission Impossible for a 30 sec TV spot. I have access to a Smartsound song that is almost identicle and the client likes it but they still want to know what the actual MI theme would cost them to purchase a one-time usage fee. I normally would try & talk the client out of using an actual theme because of cost and I feel stupid for asking but does anyone know where I could find out the answer to this? I have done a few online searchs but have come up with zip. Thanks in advance. And why post this in the Vegas forum? Why because Vegas is my program of choice, I edit all of my work on it. |

Try these folks - perhaps they can help you out or at least get you going in the right direction. http://www.rightsworkshop.com/
Keep in mind though it ain't gonna be cheap. You have publishers, writers, artists, maybe even a janitor ;-O to pay and everyone wants their peice of the pie. Don |

And I'm sure Tom Cruise will want at least 80%.
