Capture video from PV-GS300
I've got a panasonic pv-gs300 and I was wondering how in Vegas 7 would I capture the video/audio from the tape?
With the USB connection? This doesn't seem right to me. |

I think I need to buy a cable - it only came with a DV-to-svideo/audio cable.
I need a dv-to-dv firewire cable for this. Does that make sense? |

Yes, don't capture over USB with Vegas vidcap.exe. Vegas doesn't like USB and the captured stream will not have the proxy audio file that Vegas needs for editing. If you must use USB, capture with Windows Movie Maker and import the video into Vegas so it can create the proxy audio file.

Thanks for the info - I'm going to get the proper cable and continue playing after that.
