Creating an Old-Fashioned Countdown Film Leader
Remember those old 16 mm countdown leaders that always preceded the actual movie (5, 4, 3, 2-blip)? Is there a way to create this old-style countdown effect in Vegas that anyone knows about or has seen a tutorial?

Hi Dale
The exact thing you are looking for is offered in Adobe Premiere Pro 2. They call it a universal counting leader and it looks cool as hell. Give me your e-mail address and I will e-mail it to you.

Try the Academy Countdown on the VASST site. You'll need to register if you haven't already done so.
It looks very similar. If you want the real thing, try some old movies from the Prelinger Archives. I've grabbed a few from there before and some had the countdown leader still on them. |

I did try emailing you, but you are configured to not receive any. Dale |
