iMovie .DV or .MOV clips crash Vegas 7.0e
I've been trying to figure out how to get a clip (photomontage) produced by a client as an iMovie project onto the timeline. Placing the .mov file on the timeline crashes Vegas, as does placing the .dv file.
In QuickTime 7.1.1 the .dv file plays fine. But opening the .mov file brings up a message stating the computer does not have authority to play the music files. I don't speak Apple too well. Any ideas? |

Sounds to me like it's an iTunes issue.
That is, you don't have it, therefore you can't play the (protected) music files. Other than having iTunes on your machine (I think oyu'll need a bit more than that though), I'm not sure what the solution is :-( |

For the record, I opened up the .dv file from iMovie in Vegas 5.0b, rendered it as an AVI, and then used that in 7.0e.
