Vegas 7 capturing
My computer has 1 gig of ram, in options I have it set for 350 in preferences, 3.2 gig dual chip computer, etc. now when I capture clips, usually 4-5 minutes worth, Vegas locks up on me, the capture window is grayed out, usually have to shut computer down and reboot, however the clips are usually captured.I am capturing 1080 24p I am thinking on adding another gig of ram, or maybe there is a setting in preferences that could help. Any suggestions

I don't think adding ram should make any difference. Capturing isn't that hard on the processor or memory, but it can help to have fast harddrives. Although, so long as you are doing hdv, any modern 72000 drive should be able to keep up.
Make sure you've installed the latest vegas patch (7.0d): http://www.sonycreativesoftware.com/...p2.asp?DID=697 What device are you capturing from? If you are doing 24p, perhaps it has something to do with the pulldown correction? If you continue having trouble with vegas, give this a try: http://www.videohelp.com/tools?tool=CapDVHS |
