Plamen......
Boris FX works well for steadying shaky shots. I do not have anything else to do this with so I cannot compare but FX9 has the motion specific plugs in it's package (stabalizer and tracker). FX9 allows up to 4 point sub pixel accurate tracking of the image which then applies this tracked motion to crop/move the shakiness out. I can take handheld footage and it makes it look locked down to a tripod with resolutiion loss only dependent on how much shake was there to begin with. The kicker for me was that FX was an entire suite of incredible plugs and since Vegas 7 came bundled with GraffitiLite3 I was able to upgrade the Graffiti and get the Boris FX bundle for a upgrade price instead of the full cost. So the two packages cost me very little compared to buying the bundle from scratch. BTW - Boris is not like a regular Vegas plug....it opens with it's own interface within Vegas and has a different learning curve than anything else I have ever used for editing.....I come from strictly a Vegas editing background.
