Aspect Ratio 2.35:1
Hi All,
I don't know if I should be posting this topic here or under Vegas? Can someone please help me with this issue. How can I achieve the film look of Aspect ratio 2.35:1 Cinemascope? I always film in (Dv 30F 16X9). The Aspect Ratio Guide is it only a guide or you can actually film it in the selected ratio? I use Vegas 7 so please help me as what I need to do to get that look. Thanks Matthew |

In Vegas, drop a black media generator on the two top most tracks. Open up the pan/crop tool and set the y-position for -180 on one track and 660 on the other. Always have these two track at the top of your timeline.
This will give you cinema scope with 16:9 footage, and allow you to move the actual footage up and down to re frame some. |
