Prepping a PC/LAPTOP to Accept Formats?
As with previous versions, Vegas 7 has a long comprehensive list of formats it can import. What further "prepping" of a PC/Laptop is needed to import ALL the list? If preparation is required, IS there a table that can be used as reference to explain for each of the formats?
For example, AVI comes straight in. Where as MOV files require QT to be installed? Is this correct? Similar for SWF Flash? Best regards, Grazie |

Depends on the codecs. .MOV is only a wrapper; what matters is the codec. Vegas can natively import many of the standard flavors of QT.
Same with AVI. There may be files with the .avi extension that Vegas can't read without the proper codec (like DIVX).
