Can Vegas do multi angle editing like FCP?
Sorry, newby question before I shell out $$$ for Vegas; I'm using FCP, but need to edit some 24P/30P projects shot on my V1U and only Vegas currently does this.
FCP provides the ability to link clips together as a multi-clip, e.g. different angles of the same event taken at the same time. In FCP, I can select which clip will be seen by clicking on it. Does Vegas have a similar facility? Thanks Greg |

Absolutely. You can either do it manually (Vol 1 #9 of my newsletter explains multiple ways) or you can use a third party multi-cam tool. Several such tools exist including Excalibur, Ultimate S, and Infiniticam.
To see a video on how to do multi-cam using Excalibur, look at http://www.jetdv.com/excalibur To see a video using the others, visit http://www.vasst.com
