Help on exporting for color correction!
Hi guys!
I've been editing a music video shot with Panasonic HVX200 (1920x1080 25p), I used raylight codec to edit the clips on Vegas 7 and now I need to export it for a color correction that will be done on a mac system. As the raylight codec can't be installed on a mac, I tried to export it as a Sony YUV .avi, but the guy who is gonna color correct it said that his Adobe After Effects won't import a YUV. And anyway the YUV took over than 25 GB for a 4 minutes video (while a panasonic P2 file was aprox. 1 giga for 1 min). I think I'm gonna export an uncompressed avi...Is it correct? Is that the only way? Thanks in advance guys! |

the YUV file should be openable on his AE system, but either way...exporting an uncompressed QT file will be just great, or a sequential TGA file. Either one will work.

Thanks Douglas, I really appreciate your suggestion! About his AE system...I really dunno what's going on...he told me there's no sony YUV codec for mac and so it's impossible to open a sony YUV rendered file on AE.
Thanks again, Gabe |
