Locking markers to events...
I ask ages ago about locking markers to events so that when the event was moved the marker moved with it. I found after asking that that Auto Ripple allowed that to happen. However In v16 it is not happening, no matter which of the three auto ripple options I choose. Has something changed?

No nothing changed that I know of?
v16 b424 and v17 b284 all markers moving and following events when trimmed or shifted as expected when either the 2nd or 3rd options are selected under the Auto Ripple icon. Haven't experienced the issues you are having. The markers are also moving in Normal edit mode after trimming a clip with markers in it when you use the CTRL, Shift, F command to manually ripple events and markers after you've made an edit trim. Thought: Had you activated it by CLICKING on the Control Button, after your SELECTION. |

Re: Locking markers to events...
Yeah, I’ve now got that Button Selection Mapped to my CSP2. I’ve found that switching in/off using the Mouse Arrow or even a Keystroke is not intuitive to my Editing A THAT MOMENT. My CSP2 is always in my Left Hand doing all types of Timeline Scrolls and so on.

Re: Locking markers to events...
"It is possible to ad markers to any event using the trimmer many versions ago."
Use that a lot and have the preference "Automatically save trimmer markers and regions with media file" ticked. Chris Young |
