Mute Button
Ok, project/veg from an old version of vegas now opened in 14 Pro, all good, timeline loaded etc, however, the mute button M on all the track headers (audio and video tracks) has a little cog on it, i can't just mute a track then unmute, each time i hit the mute button i'm actually getting a point on a mute envelope so then i have to right click on each track header and remove the envelope. However, if i add a new track then that track has just a standard mute button, M, no cog on it.
So 2 questions, 1, How can i remove that cog so i can just mute without the envelope ?, I can add an envelope if i want but would like the choice. 2, Any new tracks i add to the project have just the standard mute button, why no cog ? I've got round the problem easily enough, i just opened a new instance of Vegas (no cogs on the M) and then copied and pasted the lot onto the new timeline (still not cog on the M). I just want to know what's causing the cog on the M. Thanks, Paul.

Re: Mute Button
This icon means automation is activated for the track.
On the left side of the Mute button there is a bigger cog icon. Click onto this one to deaktivate again. |
