"Vegas low on memory" while trying to render

I keep getting "Vegas low on memory" while trying to render. I have a 24GB de ram, quad core, ssd, etc computer and it's impossible it won't handle a 1 minute render with NO effects. Any idea on how to fix this?

Re: "Vegas low on memory" while trying to render

A couple of thoughts:

1. Have you looked at task manager to see if there are any other processes hogging memory and denying it from Vegas? I have 24GB also but I can successfully render with other apps open, eg Photoshop, After Effects etc - but it might be affected if you have a very large file open in another app.

2. Is all RAM working?

3. Do you have sufficient disk space?

4. Do other projects render OK? If so, what are the differences between those projects and this problematic one? Same kind of footage?

5. Try removing all the footage from this project and replace it with generated media, eg a test pattern. Render it. Same problem? If it renders OK it suggests the issue lies with your source material. If it still has the same problem then at least you know it is not your footage that is causing the issue.

6. At what point does the low memory message appear? As soon as you start rendering? After some time?

Good luck!
