Strange problem importing files

Hi Guys

Has anyone ever had this issue ?? I import all my clips using import media in Vegas 10 and I find that one or two are missing .. it creates the SFK files fine but simply will not pull the "missing files" into the project again. I tried to delete the two SKF files thinking they might be causing the problem but it wouldn't let me saying Vegas is using the files??? If I then make copies of the two files so they have a new name then it allows me to import them with no hassles. It seems that it does import the clips but for some reason doesn't make them visible cos if I open a new blank project it brings them in fine. Is there any reason it would bring in the files but not show them in the media bin???

Re: Strange problem importing files

Hi, Chris!
Do You use the thumbnail view in the Project media? Then try to clean up all Media Pool Thumbnails. I forgot where they are stored for Vegas 10, for Vegas 13 the folder is c:\Users\<User Name>\AppData\Local\Sony\Vegas Pro\13.0\Media Pool Thumbnails\
I never use the thumbnail view and never loss any file in Project Media but I find similar problem in my work.

Thanks Juris

I actually have 10 and 13 and yes 13 has a Media Thumbnail Folder but none exist in the Vegas 10 folder ..must be a new thing they introduced after 10 upwards. Bummer ... I wonder if 10 has a cleanout option??
