ac3 stereo problem..

I noticed there r 3 settings for ac3 rendering.I was only able to generate ac3 using the default template.A copy rendered in Stereo didnt work in DVDA3.I used an external stereo mic via the horseshoe for capturing.Does anyone know why the stereo mode doesnt work?

In DVA double click on your video file, select media in the upper right hand corner and be sure that your .ac3 file is selected as the audio source.

I don't know of any settings in DVDA that would prevent hearing a Stereo DVD AC3 file. Now... if you rendered to an MPEG2 file using the DVDA preset (which does NOT include audio) and, for some reason, DVDA did not manage to find the AC3 file, I can see where you would hear silence. If you just go to the properties and then manually set the AC3 file, all should be fine.

I use the stereo preset for AC3 renders all the time and author with DVDA 3. I've never had any problems.

AC3 files not in the same folder as the MPEG2s? Or named differently?

That's what I was assuming in my post above.

Sean, make sure when you create the files, they are in the same folder AND named appropriately. PLUS, the MPEG2 file should NOT have audio (like the DVDA presets).

So, you might have:
myvideo.mpg
myvideo.ac3
