Autoripple - keyboard ONLY editing
I'd like to use autoripple feature without using mouse (just keyboard editing). I put clips in timeline, select autoripple (either all tracks of affected tracks) and then using "L" key move forward through my project. Now, I have clip that I need to "shorten" so I click "S" to cut it BUT how to delete remaining/unwanted portion of the clip so autoripple would move all clips to the place where I cut using "S" key. I dont want to use mouse - it is counter productive. Thanks in advance

Actually...that brings another question about creating kind of automation shortcut "S"+"["+"ctrl+X" how to assign ONE key on keyboard to automatically perform all these functions by one click????

The keyboard operation is one thing I don't like about Vegas, it hasn't a particularly logical arrangement and you often need to use Ctrl + key or similar combination, for basic functions that should be single key.

Vegas lets you customize the keyboard shortcuts to whatever you like. Options | Customize Keyboard

Re: Autoripple - keyboard ONLY editing
True, but many of the original short cuts are needlessly complex compared to other professional NLE's which have pretty logical layouts with single keys used for common editing commands like insert or cut.
