1080P/60 on 1280x720 timeline Vegas 7.0d
Hi All,
I have a shoot coming up where my second camera person is using 2 Sony HDR PJ30v camcorders (I"m using my DVX100a for the audio and some close ups) Sony specs say the 30v only shoots AVCHD 60P/24P...no 30P. Will 108060P footage even import to a 1280x720 project timeline in Vegas 7.0d? I would like to use the 1280 project, as my SD DVX 30P footage has looked pretty good uprezzed to 1280x720 in the past (Youtube upload). I would appreciate some definitive info on this, as I don't want to be stuck with material I can't edit on my current system. Thanks for your help. Ken |

The camera shoots regular 1080 60i (and a whole lot of other formats), Sony only emphasized the 24/60p as a feature.Might be time top upgrade - Don't think Vegas 7 can handle AVCHD. Might be time to upgrade. Vegas past v10 you can drop 60p straight onto the Vegas timeline - it shows up as 30p - you can stretch it to double length and get smooth slo mo (which IMO is the only thing 60p is good for).
