Vegas 12 and NewBlue Video Essentials Question
Edit: Found what I was looking for.
I'm familiar with using NewBlue Video Essentials in Edius but am a little stuck using it with Vegas 12, which I just purchased. After I drop the filter onto the timeline, how do I get into the fine tune adjustment part? In Edius I would just double click on it. I'm watching a YouTube video but I can't tell what the person is doing to get to the fine tune settings. When he drags a filter to the timeline, another window opens for that filter with the fine tune controls. Is this just a preference setting that I need to make. Been using Vegas 12 for about 30 minutes and it has already crashed twice. Once when I did a search in help and once when I selected a folder to open a file. Hope it gets better. Thanks...Alan Last edited by Alan Henderson; March 5th, 2014 at 08:06 PM. Reason: Found my answer. |

Re: Vegas 12 and NewBlue Video Essentials Question
I'm not in front of my PC at the moment, but I think that after you drag the effect onto the clip on the timeline, you can then click on the little green FX symbol on the clip. This should open up the fine-tune dialogue box...

Re: Vegas 12 and NewBlue Video Essentials Question
I am glad to hear you got it working. In Vegas, when you drop an effect on an event on the timeline, the effect window should open automatically. To open it manually or again, you click on the "FX" button on the event.
Remember, in Vegas effects can be applied in four locations: 1. Event on a track - it will affect only that one event. 2. Track - it will affect everything on that track. 3. Project Media - it will affect that clip wherever it is on the timeline. 4. Project/Preview Screen - it will apply to everything in the project.

Re: Vegas 12 and NewBlue Video Essentials Question
Thanks Edward. For whatever reason the window would not open when I dropped the FX on the clip. It did start opening once I went up and clicked on the preview window icon to split the screen.
