New Blue ColorFast is is worth it?
Hi, Sony has New Blue ColorFast for $100. I'd be interested to hear if people think it's worth getting it.
Thanks. |

You can try it for $0 and decide for yourself ;-)

I use it all the time. They're very aggressive with pricing at New Blue, it may go lower than $100.

Re: New Blue ColorFast is is worth it?
I am not experienced in high-end CC and grading on daVinci Resolve & etc., but I did download the baby Resolve and found the workflow to be opaque and full of unique concepts. A power-user's tool, and I have nothing but respect for the product and those doing high-end CC with it.
Colorfast was quite understandable for an editor like me, as well as being very capable, especially in masking, where some true power lies. See the three demos in the first post in this thread, I thought they were awesome! http://www.dvinfo.net/forum/newbluef...tutorials.html

Re: New Blue ColorFast is is worth it?
Thanks for the info everyone. I've downloaded the demo (the link Sony had on the email announcing the pricing didn't have a demo option, had to go directly to NewBlue's site). The way it's laid out is kind of like the built in Vegas Color Correction and Secondary Color Correction tools on steroids. Still playing with it.
Is there a way to easily do color matching between two cameras? Thanks. |
