TMPGENC settings for DVD Architect?
Can anyone tell me the settings for TMPGEnc to make DVD compliant files that DVD Architect will accept.
I'm rendering HD M2V in Vegas Pro 11 for Bluray but also have to make a dvd so it would be great to throw those m2v files into tmpgenc and get a better mpg file than Vegas Main Concept can render. At present, DVD Architect won't accept the mpg files from tmpgenc. |

Re: TMPGENC settings for DVD Architect?
Use the DVD preset in TMPGenc, takes you to a screen that you can select the parameters. I limit video to 8K, set data rate so that disc fill is just over 4G, elementary streams. I edit mainly in Edius so use the Canopus HQ codec as input to TMPGenc. You can get a free download of the GV Canopus codecs. They will work in Vegas too. You will need to register but do not need a GV product and can then get the codecs from the site. Login | Grass Valley

Re: TMPGENC settings for DVD Architect?
Ron,
I did as you suggested and downloaded the GV Codecs pack and installed them. However, I'm not seeing any extra render options coming up in Vegas 11 Pro....I'm on a Win 7-64 system with an ATI Radeon HD5800 graphics card. Any advice on this? I've figured out the settings you suggested for TMPGenc and that worked fine so thanks for that. Chris |

Re: TMPGENC settings for DVD Architect?
Look under Windows AVI. At bottom of the list you should see HQ and HQX options. HQ is 8 bit HQX is 10bit

Re: TMPGENC settings for DVD Architect?
Does anyone have TMPGenc settings for creating an AVC file that can be pulled into DVDA to create a Bluray? Even when I use the templates in TMPGenc that are suppose to be for Blurays they won't pull into DVDA without it having to rerender them.
Thanks |
