Problems with Blackmagic Utility & Vegas Pro 10
Hi all -
It's been a while since I have had any real Vegas problems, but I wanted to throw this out there... I have a Pentax K-5 IIs (yeah, I know - not the best video DSLR) and a Blackmagic Pocket Cinema Camera. Prior to installing the Blackmagic Camera Utility, I could open the footage in Vegas Pro with no problem. After installing the utility, the Pentax footage will still play in Quicktime and Windows Media Player - however, when I load the clips into Vegas, I get a green clip with no video. Clicking on the properties tab shows Blackmagic for the codec, which is obviously wrong... So I uninstalled the utility, and sure enough, my AVI footage is working in Vegas again. Not sure what to make of this - Vegas seems to be the only app affected, and BMPCC does not do an AVI based codec. I'm okay with uninstalling the Blackmagic utility, but it seems like an odd workaround, and Vegas seems to be the only app affected so far. Any thoughts? Has anyone experienced this in Vegas Pro 12? |
