I have pretty good fan....Noctua NH-L12 120mm & 92mm SSO Bearing PWM Fans CPU Cooler - Newegg.com
still I am trying to figure it out why comouter slows down when RENDERING VEGAS; it could BE temperature (it is just my blind guess) but it happens approx at 69C which is not that hot...any guess; comoputer is NOT oC now |

Re: Vegas not performing well
Well first of all.. maybe we got u all wrong from the beginning.. When you rendering to a video output with Vegas Pro, the software does not rendering in the exact same speed from start to finish...
It does depends on the content in your project... For some content in your timeling, Vegas will rendering using 99% of your CPU power... While sometime it will use 40%... I guess it has some playing which format/codec you also choose. But ofcourse your new system would be 4X times faster than you old laptop... Step 1: Reset your BIOS to factory settings. You might did some other changing without remember. Step 2: Check with Windows Power options if some power savings is set to ON.... In that case change to maximum performance or whatever. Step 3: Try another application like After Effects or Prime95 and se if those softwares also makes your multipler jumps down when rendering/stress... |

Re: Vegas not performing well
Marius,
My DRAM Primary Timings is 10-11-10-30-2. Secondary Timings I leave them in AUTO. CPU Vcore Voltage Manual Mode> Manual Voltage 1.300 CPU UCCSA Voltage> Offset Mode + .020. DRAM Voltage I set my 1.5V. The rest I leave them in AUTO. Enhanced Intel SpeedStep Technogoly> Disabled Turbo Mode> Enabled CPU C1E> Disabled, CPU C3 AUTO CPU C6 AUTO CPU C7 AUTO. . DIGI+ Power Control> CPU Load Line Calibration > Ultra High CPU Power Duty Control> Extreme. All other I leave it in AUTO and 100% If you got the same board as mine, you should try this settings, see how it do. I am running 7 fans I set them all to high. My system is very quiet I am very surprised such a powerful system and operate so quiet. |
