DVD Setting
I just finished shooting a 1.45Hour play. I shot it in full 1080 HD. I want to compress it down to fit on a standard DVD-R. Can someone tell me what setting or templete to render in Vegas? It's got to fit on a DVD-R. not a dual layer DVD. Thanks

Re: DVD Setting
Start with the the default DVD Architect template under MainConcepts MPEG-2. Use Variable bit rate, Two-pass, Max bit rate 8,000,000, Average 5,100,000, Min 3,100,000. Separately render out a AC-3 audio file (I assumed in the bitrate calc that you'd be using a 2/0, 192 kbps audio file). Depending on the mix of video (how much motion, FX, etc) that should give about the optimal quality. I've pushed these setting to about 1h 50m length with minimal menus and no animation in the menus.

Re: DVD Setting
To add to Garrett's recommendation, do it as a 2-pass render to maximize quality.
