Upgrade to Pro 12 for $142, is that a good deal?
Sony sent me an email about it. I'll be getting a new computer soon, should I upgrade to Pro 12 for $142? I'm using Pro 8 at this time. There have been various hiccups here and there, and I'm not sure if it's my weak PC or Vegas Pro 8 having to work with AVCHD.
Thanks, |

Norris, if your'e jumping from VP8 then it's probably a good deal for you as I think VP8 would struggle with AVCHD. But, for me with VP11 I don't know.
Jeff, do you know if DVDA in VP12 is the same as the newly released free upgrade from 5.2 to 6 ? RonC. |

The V12 upgrade does include DVDA 5.2 (at least the suite I got did) BUT DVDA 6 is a pay for upgrade. At least it was a couple of weeks ago when I made the jump from (gulp) Vegas 6. :-0

Don, that's interesting as I received a popup when I opened my DVDA program some time ago offering me to login & download vers. 6.
I guess this makes it even less advantageous for me to jump to VP12. RonC. |

DVDA 5.2 to 6.0 upgrade was free for me too. The $142 for upgrade to VP12 is currently the best deal. The original upgrade price at original release of VP12 was $139.

Re: Upgrade to Pro 12 for $142, is that a good deal?
Well, all I know is that when I went to upgrade to V12 (at $99.99-yaa) I went to go to DVDA v6 and I got a window saying it was $XX dollars to upgrade. I don't remember what the number was but I do remember thinking to myself that it probably wasn't worth it so I didn't. Unless I did something wrong somewhere along the line which I suppose is possible.
Sorry for the confusion.
