Problems with 59.94fps mpeg video in Vegas
I have some video files that I've acquired from DVDs, something I've done for many years a thousand times over and have had no problems with. But I have a few files that Vegas cannot properly process. They are in a 59.94 frame rate and the video skips back a few frames once a second.
I've tried opening these same files in VLC, plays perfectly. Mainconcept Reference 2 opens the files but I can't seem to find a format to convert them into that'll read by Vegas without the frame rate being horribly off (slow motion, gittery, etc) Suggestions? |

I have no idea where you're getting 59.94 from as that's not a valid DVD frame rate.
The only ones that are acceptable are 23.976, 25 and 29.97 I wonder if the discs are corrupt. |

Re: Problems with 59.94fps mpeg video in Vegas
Well, ok the format in Vegas shows 29.970 fps interlaced and it dosen't play correctly.
The Codec Information in VLC reads "Codec: MPEG-1/2 Video (mpgv)" and "Frame rate: 59.940059" and it plays correctly. When I open it in Mainconcept Reference it shows "23.98p -> 59.94i PD" |
