Panasonic HC-X900 footage
Planning to buy Panasonic 3mos HC-X900 camcorder. Just wanted to check is there any issue with Sony Vegas Pro 12 for editing the footage. I had heard previously Panasonic was not much compatible with Sony Vegas.
Currently I am using Sony HVR-V1U and works great with Vegas Pro. Any inputs will be appreciated. Thanks |

Re: Panasonic HC-X900 footage
Vegas Pro 12 handles 1080/60p avchd 2.0 easily from my TM900 and AG-AC90. No worries.

Re: Panasonic HC-X900 footage
No problems here either in using the highest quality files from the TM700 and TM900 cams in Vegas 9 / 10 / 11 / 12
You do need a PC with a reasonable amount of grunt to handle such files though. However Vegas 12 can create proxy files so that may be a solution when using "underpowered" computers for editing. Pete |
