Odd issue with Windows 7 pc build

Ok, so I rebuilt my machine from ground up. It's an Inteli7 950@3.07ghz with 12 gig of memory, 64 gb system.

I run my 'preview' via firewire to my AVDChd canopus to my JVC monitor.

With my new pc build, my monitor video pops in and out, often times on images or hard to render transitions and such. I'm not sure why. The video monitor in vegas doesn't have the problem. I can' only think it has something with the firewire, a port? I'm not sure, so I figured I'd ask people much smarter than I am. Thanks in advance.
