DVD Architect video lead in?

I wondered if anyone knew a simple way to have a short video run before the main menu comes up on a DVD authored in DVD Architect?
This would be like the "FBI Warning" or previews that come up on a DVD before the main menu appears.
I have a 30 second montage I'd LOVE people to see before the main menu.
Thanks!

Yes. RC in the Project Overview window and click on "Insert Introduction Media", select video file.

Getting music only...

This is wonderful! But I'm getting music only when I click preview, I'm not seeing the intro video.
I know this is an ultra amateur mistake on my part, but I'm not sure what I've done wrong.
To have the intro media come up, then the main menu second, is there anything else I need to do?
Thank you again!

Did you render the intro video in a compliant codec/format? Similar to the main movie codec/format?

Re: DVD Architect video lead in?

I should have also mentioned that I'm seeing the "themed" main menu screen, and hearing the audio from the introductory video. It as if it layed it in the background behind the main menu instead of screening one right after the other. Thanks again. (Oddly my Vegas help file on introductory media says "script error" and is preventing me from accessing JUST this question!)

Re: DVD Architect video lead in?

In the Project Overview window the introduction media should have a purple box with a white star, this marks it as the start video.
Double click on the intro video and see what video strip is on the timeline. If it is not the correct video, go to the Media Properties window, click on the Track Media tab. Then on the video line in the Track media click on the file name (turns blue) click on the down arrow and select Replace. Navigate to the location for the correct video file and select it.
You should now have the correct video play with the correct audio file.

Thanks! AMAZINGLY, it just didn't seem to work, though everything you mentioned was perfect!
What I finally did was follow what you said, but also click the "set start item" as well.
Suddenly it all worked. Whew! Thanks so much! I have a presentation today and it will be significantly more professional thanks to you! :-)
