How do you use imgburn with Vegas Movie Studio 11 to burn an AVCHD DVD?
OK. I have the free trial for Vegas Movie STudio HD 11 Ultimate and have also downloaded imgburn. I have been able to figure out how to burn a regular DVD from the Video TS files from the DVD Architect Studio 5 Projects folder. But, how do I burn an AVCHD DVD from there? Or can't I. If not how can I do so?

Re: How do you use imgburn with Vegas Movie Studio 11 to burn an AVCHD DVD?
It seems that DVD Architect Studio 5.0 build 128 was the last one, where you were able to choose in Project Properties Disc Format > BD and Target Media Size (GB) 4.7 or 8.5. I did not update, but I gather that in the later builds (current build 157) this was dropped. Same goes for VMS 11 Platinum latest builds. But you can choose in VMStudio Platinum to 'Render image only', when you use Make Movie / Burn it to disc / Blu-ray disc (also in Tools / Burn disc). PCM audio only and no menu, though. Make a note of the file path and you can take that *.iso file to ImgBurn.
In ImgBurn, choose Write Image File to Disc, select a file (browse and enter the file path). Change the Volume Label (if you want) in Tools / ISO entering again the file path. Check that File sys is UDF (2.50), choose your burner, write speed settings and Write. Works for me in VMS 11 Plat build 295, but it is a somewhat of a pity that the AVCHD disc option as such is not any more within VMS or Vegas. https://www.custcenter.com/app/answe...d/4415/kw/4415 |

Thanks Jorma and Eric for your responses. I will look closely at what you say and see if I can give it a try. I am not all that technically intelligent about such matters, but I will see what I can do.
Wish there was a less complicated or involved method of accomplishing all this with Vegas Movie Studio, but apparently not. Mike PS. Jorma, in another thread ("Your Personal Opinion....."), you gave me an answer to this problem. Can you give me very specific, detailed step by step instructions on doing this? Thanks. Re: How do you use imgburn with Vegas Movie Studio 11 to burn an AVCHD DVD?
One program which can change the flags to make a blu-ray image AVCHD compatible is called AVCHD Patcher.
http://forum.videohelp.com/threads/3...t-has-vanished There are a bunch of guides how to convert a blu-ray image to an AVCHD image. One of the more complete appears to be The Complete Blu-Ray Backup Guide. http://www.corusa.com/public/Blu-Ray...de_milOtis.pdf I've never used this guide or the above mentioned tools, however, they should work well with the blu-ray output that DVD Architect produces. I gave up on making AVCHD disks more than a year ago because many blu-ray players don't play them and because blu-ray burners became affordable. |
