Vegas 11 Freezing While Rendering MPG2
I have been tinkering with vegas since version 4. Never has rendering to Mainconcept MPG2 dvd architect NTSC locked up so much on me before during rendering. Using the latest driver for video and latest updates for vegas I was thinking why to myself... Since no one else seemed to be having any issues,or I would have read about it here, I worked it out to be NetBlueFX that was causing all of my grief. In Dec 2010 I purchased about 7 of their products and loaded them in. That was the last time I touched them. All was working well, until I loaded the latest version of Vegas. Now I dont know of anyway of telling if NetBlueFX has version #s to their software, so I downloaded all the ones I purchased and started comparing file sizes and dates. The newest download ( which is the exact same file name as in 2010 ) was dated Feb 2012 inside the exe file, and the file size after installing was about 600k larger on the hard drive per package on average.
Walla, Rendered perfectly. BTW, my setup was simple 7D footage, 1.2 hours long, with several cuts, one clip with their stabilizer and I set levels, and their colour corrector on the track level. So nothing special to cause vegas to freeze during renders. Would it be neat if NewBlueFX could make a manager program, that could call home, ( when ever we wish to check ) that would verify the software they sell is up to date on our systems? Well that is my wish list for the day. Hope it helps someone else too. |
