1080P Project Render Settings w/Pulldown?

Hi all - still learning about this stuff ...

I have an HD project shoot - My vegas project settings, pulled from the media, are HD 1080-24p (1920x1080, 23.976 fps) - I now want to render out for DVDA to go to a Widescreen DVD format.

My questions is this, Do I use the DVD Architect NTSC DV Widescreen video stream render template or do I use the one with the pulldown in it - DVD Architect 24p NTSC DV Widescreen video stream ? I've tried both and don't see any obvious differences on resulting DVDs. I'd like to understand this, so any help and an explanation would be much appreciated!

Thanks,

24p Widescreen.

The really confusing thing is that you have it backwards -- the NTSC template will insert pulldown; the 24p template will not. The 24p template inserts instructions for the DVD player to insert pulldown; the NTSC template has already done so, so the DVD player doesn't do anything extra with it.

I know what the template drop-downs say; but this is what actually happens.

So - to say it another way the "non P" template actually interlaces it, where the "P" template leaves it progressive and just puts in "instructions" for the DVD player? Please correct me if I'm wrong.
Thanks!

Yes, you have it.

There's one tiny caveat to that, but it's not important.

It'll just be confusing. It's nothing to worry about when doing this stuff. It's purely theoretical.
