Blinking Effect for Music Video
Hi All
I like to try and use the blinking effect in a music video and I would appreciate it if you guys can guide me as how to do it. Here is the sample of what I want to achieve. Blink Effect - YouTube Thanks Matthew

Re: Blinking Effect for Music Video
You can go to Media Generators and choose a solid white color and place it on a new layer above your footage then shorten it to a fraction of a second and repeat as required.

Re: Blinking Effect for Music Video
I think that one is actually 2 tracks of video going frame to frame, one frame of one track, one frame of the other, to get that strobe.
As Nicholas said, Most nice strobes incorporate a solid as well., Some Ive used recently, just depends on the music you are cutting to- 2 frames trk1- 2 frames trk2- 1 frame black, repeated. 2 frames trk1- 2 frames trk2, repeated with more tracks if you have them, with a 70%opacity white solid, frame to frame (one on, one off) over the top. Another nice one is to have the same track above, but cropped in closer to feature your subject, but remove the background with a luma key. So you have the subject flashing closer to the camera, almost like a ghost image. Heaps of fun, the more you do, the more you will make up. :)
