audio video grouping
As long as I have been on vegas, can't believe I can't sort this one out!!
Sense my last useage of 10e, I somehow managed to make it so when the captured video is placed on the track the audio and the video are naturally grouped. I do not want to have to go and individually group every clip in a two hour wedding video. I tried highlighting all events and hitting group, obvious but did not work. I even went through the manual and just hope to not have to spend a whole pile more time sorting this out. There has to be a quick fix. setting here waiting, hoping someone can save me a huge amount of time. thank you, dale

re: audio video grouping
There's a button the toolbar called "Ignore Event Groupings." Make sure it's NOT pressed. Sounds like it is.

Re: audio video grouping
Dale said he doesn't use "it", which I read as not using ungrouping. Now I understand that that means the actual Icon, but NOT the process. So that's why I asked how he does or doesn't do L+J cuts. In preference he uses the KB. Seesh...
Simple really. - g |

Actually, my therapist says I'm doing well. But what does she know?

Re: audio video grouping
I do use the Ignore Event Grouping button on occasion and it is probably the BEST way to do the l/j cuts (with the possible exception of using a script). If I'm in a hurry, I just hit "U" and adjust the desired track. In fact, in those cases I typically do NOT bother to group them back...
