Vegas 11 backward compatibility?
I've been using Vegas 9.0 Pro for a couple of years and I'm considering switching to Vegas 11.
Is it possible to open and work on .veg files created in Vegas 9.0 in Vegas 11? I've had a search around and can't find the answer online. |

Re: Vegas 11 backward compatibility?
Yes. But what you describe is forward compatibility. Vegas is not backward compatible with previous versions.

Re: Vegas 11 backward compatibility?
Just to add to what Jeff is saying, it means that you can open a Vegas 9 file in Vegas 11 but if you save it in Vegas 11 you will never be able to open it in Vegas 9 again.
Of course if you open the file in V11 you can save it with a different name and your v9 version will not be affected (and neither will it have any of the changes you might have made to it in v11). In other words, be careful! |
