Vms 10 platinum. Audio question

How can I adjust treble and bass with this Vegas programme.? I've searched the help line in vain. Will I have to use Sound Forge or a similiar programme?. It would be more convenient to be able to do it in Vegas it'self.

Re: Vms 10 platinum. Audio question

Roy, there are no "traditional" bass and treble controls in Vegas.
You need to use something like Track EQ that should be a part of your Track FX.
This screenshot is from Vegas Pro but I believe this is a part of VMS too.
Click Track FX to bring up this window, click Track EQ to show this tab and adjust any of the four points up, down or sideways.
Clicking 1, 2, 3 or 4 shows you which frequency is assigned to that specific button.
The only suggestion I can make is to play with the different settings to figure out which one does what to your audio.
Remember, a little goes a long way.
Do your monitoring on speakers, not headphones and make sure the speakers are decent ones as cheap speakers add their deficiencies to your final audio mix and what sounds good to you on your computer will sound completely different on a good stereo system.

Remember that this affects the entire track so if you only want a specific portion of your audio to be affected, place it on it's own track.

Re: Vms 10 platinum. Audio question

thanks for the info mike. I knew about the EQ but never associated it with Teble and bass. I've only used it to get rid of unwanted noise such as hum etc. I've used a teble and bass adjustment on Adobe 6.5 and it was very effective. Thanks again I'll give it a try.

Re: Vms 10 platinum. Audio question

Roy, keep in mind that, unlike the Track EQ controls, bass & treble controls cover a wide frequency range so pick two frequencies (one high and one low) and set the Bandwidth control to it's maximum value for each one.
