Thanks Marc,
I have no doubt my dodgy cheap monitor is not accurate, I just think if Im working with scopes I should be able to get in the ball park.
The Convolution kernal FX came from David Newman, he said on the Cineform forum that you could force a full render (so you can use the new clip in First Light) by dropping a convolution kernal fx on and leaving it at default no effect.
I take back what I said to some degree about HD Link and resising,
I read just then that it uses the famous Lanczos resizing filter just like V dub and Tmpgenc.
Im trying it now, but gee it is incredibly slow compared to the others. Virtual dub did the same job yesterday faster than realtime.
I will try your suggestion, one from Vegas , one from Tmpgenc, see if they are the same.
