Re: 51 minutes of video in DVDARCH, best setting 4 the best quality
Being able to push the upper limit was one reason why I upgraded my NLE software. I shoot for 8500 CBR with AC3 audio added to that. After 1,000's of replicated disks I have never had one returned for failure to play.

Hi

Sounds like you need Blu-ray :-) Personally I don't put my own video on DVD anymore, it's all Blu-ray HD now plus you can go for lossless audio at higher sampling, even with 5.1 or better. Regards Phil |

Burn one DVD and listen to it through a decent stereo system.
If you find that the volume is too low, try the following adjustments. Encode set to AC3; Click on Custom tab; On the first tab, set Dialog Norm at -31 (this sets it at unity gain); On the last tab marked Preprocessing, set the Line Mode Profile and RF Mode Profile mode to "none"; Save this as a preset. |

Re: 51 minutes of video in DVDARCH, best setting 4 the best quality
Unless you absolutely know what you're doing, I'd use the standard DVD Architect templates under MPEG-2. They're already optimized.
The ONLY change I'd make is if you're rendering HD footage -- change the Video quality to BEST because you're resizing the footage. But if it's SD footage all along, I wouldn't touch it.

Re: 51 minutes of video in DVDARCH, best setting 4 the best quality
The source footage is HD 1080 50 i but o have to make dvds for SD viewers. So i matched the project properties with the render roperties to have pladv widescreen Pal.
Now you suggestto put "best" on the final option render? Thanks |

Yes, Marcus, change the rendering to "Best" because it is now resizing the video.
