Can Vegas handle
I am thinking about buying the Panasonic AG-HMC40 AVCCAM HD Camcorder and wanted to know if there is any problems with downloading AVCHD to vegas? Right now I only shoot SD video from my sony vx2100 but wanted to start shooting in HD for my weddings

Re: Can Vegas handle
Just finished a five-hour DVD set with (and partially about) Panasonic AVCHD (AVCCAM), using Vegas Pro 10 x64; had no problems with full 1080p playback even with a ton of FX.
The MTS files are just drag-and-drop. HOWEVER, when you copy over the cards, make sure to copy over with the entire file structure intact. Do not just copy the MTS files. If you do, you lose meta data, including timecode. I didn't run into any problems until the project got quite big, and then I started having playback issues where the sound would be unsynched from the picture (only in playback; it wasn't unsynched on the timeline), and where the playback wouldn't start where I placed the cursor. This could be a general Vegas bug, though, unrelated to the AVCHD -- and I think I read someone say it was fixed in 10.0e.
