Vegas 10.0d

hey guys,

so is the concensus that Vegas 10 has broken its ability to capture HDPro, and if I want to upgrade from 8.0d, the only option is 9.0e?

thanks

Adam

Re: Vegas 10.0d

Adam, what do you mean by "HDPro"?

I capture (from SDHC cards) HD footage from my JVC HM750, run it through XDCAM EX ClipBrowser to rewrap it to MXF from MP4 and drop it onto the Vegas timeline without any problems whatsoever.

If you mean P2 footage from a Panasonic camera, Vegas has never had that capability which is why you need Raylight from DVFilm.

Re: Vegas 10.0d

from what I can tell with some posts, there's a problem capturing directly from a HD series JVC with the M2T codec, people are saying that the new 10.0a to d crashes when trying to capture directly. So not the 35mbps ex codec, the original JVC 19.8mbps.
I'm thinking of upgrading, but this would be a deal breaker for me.

Thanks Mike

Re: Vegas 10.0d

Adam, judging by the responses in the http://www.dvinfo.net/forum/jvc-gy-h...110-vegas.html thread, it looks like Pro 10 is a no go with those cameras :(
