subclips with names (alternative)
with many thanks to edward and excalibur;
just been presented with hours of interviews which need to be chopped into bite-sized subject matter, then reworked into main program. i've used subclips in the past, which has worked, but painfully so, especially losing names and transfer ability between tl's / projects. today i decided to give edwards excalibur 'dvd asset collector' a whirl - using my region 'names' plus additional sequence number, and rendering (or rather should i say NO rendering by matching file format) to new bins (actually folders). bloody wonderful!!!! thanks edward!

Glad Excalibur could do what you needed. That's what scripts are for - to help simplify the editing process.

Re: subclips with names (alternative)
I use "DVD asset collector" in Excalibur soooo much!
Seems like I always have some reason to do batch rendering, recently it was 90 short training sequences on the TL. Batch them out with flexible naming in Excalibur, and to the internet with Vimeo's batch uploader, and clients were looking at video in hours instead of days. Edward, thanks for a great product that has saved me a lot of drudgery in editing. Your tools are very strong support for efficient workflows. (not just the batcher, of course...)
