avchd smart render

Anyone know whether smart rendering is possible with AVCHD footage from Canon T2i/7D/7D cameras? If not then what's the closest possible? I know that some formats use up more system resources, time, and hard disk space to render than others.

Anyone care to give out render specs for Sony Vegas Pro 10 (64-bit)?
