Script for random frames......
Would anyone know of a script or plug in to give you, say, 2 frames of every clip in your project to generate a strobeing review of your project. Sounds vague doesnt it?
We have all seen it, for instance, in a music clip, through a drum fill, when they do a machine gun run of clip frames, or strobe all of the cams in a multicam project. Just started to put one of these together and after the first 10 mins I can see the use of a script or plug in would be a massive timesaver.

Well... I know Excalibur could do that for you. Don't know about Ultimate S or Vegasaur but they may be able to do so as well.

Re: Script for random frames......
You might want to take a look at VASST Mayhem. This is exactly what it was designed to do... i.e., cause a little mayhem in the middle of a video. Check out the videos on the VASST web site that shows you Mayhem in action. There is a 15-day free trial so you can play with it and see if you like it before you buy it.
In the interest of full disclosure... I work at VASST. ;-) ~jr

Re: Script for random frames......
Thanks guys,
John, I've looked at Mayhem before, I wasnt aware it could pull random frames from different clips, it seemed very much like AFX Twitch, in that it just went crazy with track motion, scale, blur and hue. I will have another look though. Edward, (must admit I was thinking of you when I wrote this post) Will have a look at Excalibar too. Just found a good read about Excalibur here, a glowing review Edward, Excalibur 4.5 Vegas Plug-In : Sony Vegas

Re: Script for random frames......
The Markers tool from Vegasaur can help you to do it. Firstly, place 2-frame regions at every clip on a timeline (it can be placed at the beginning, at the end, or in the middle of each event) and then use Keep/Delete events option to stitch all regions together.
